Highway 60 Algonquin Provincial Park. It's hard to realize that the road was actually built through these rocks. Large holes where drilled into the rocks and explosives were dropped into the holes to break up the rocks. Then the rocks were removed and eventually the road was paved.

  • Unique angle for the shot, the van looks like it could slide off unless its going Indy500 speeds.

    There are cuttings like this here, but most are sandstone so I expect it would have been much more effort there.

  • The angle is compelling. I've seen holes drilled in Hong Kong too. I was dying to know why they were there. It was explained later during my trip. I don't see the holes here. It looks very natural.
