Dirty Apple Category: none Comments(7)- December 19, 2006 So what's so cool about macs anyway? We have a couple at school and after using it for a couple of weeks and getting over how cool they look I can say that they're as crummy as pcs. Other than the nice design and the tv ads, I really don't see anything that makes it better than a good old fashioned pc. About the photo, it's not a cut out, its a reflection of the dirty keyboard in the apple logo.

they dont get viruses which i think is fantastic! plus dont be hating, im on a Mac right now :P

I guess I don't feel the same way. I'm at school on a dual processor g5 mac that's chuggin' along better than any PC I've used.

you can only appreciate macs if you have them. i bet any noobs will say "why get dslr when its so much more expensive and cant use the lcd for real-time previews".

I'd get a MacBook Pro and run Windows on its own drive partition. Then I'd work hard on MacOS X and play hard on Windows. They look sweet and run design apps like a dream. PC's are good at everything but not so reliable. That's my word on the Win vs Mac argument =)

Cool photo! Re the debate: in addition to what others have said, apart from the sheer aesthetics of their design, speaking as someone who used a windows-based pc for donkeys years until I finally got myself a powerbook a couple of years ago, I think I can safely say that what is better is the OS. Also I have had no dll conflicts, no viruses and no non-intuitive interface. I hardly use my Windows based machine anymore.
